The way to Wholeness

You know I have discovered that the journey we are all really on is the journey to wholeness. We started at whole as babies, we got broken somewhere along the way and our journey is to get back to wholeness. I guess everyone gets there their own way. When I say wholeness, I mean being totally content with your life. Living your best life. It's you waking up knowing WOW. I am really doing the best I can in every area. I am balanced!

I think that self examination or introspection is one way to do it but I also think you can spend too much time on all of that. We are who we are from the experiences we have had and the people we have met. Perhaps, the key is just waking up one day and saying yesterday and all the days before don't matter.  The WAY to WHOLENESS is Living with Intention

From this day forward, I will be the best I can be. I will examine every area of my life and do exactly what needs to be done TODAY, to be the person I want to be tomorrow.

I think even writing down the person you want to be.  First thing in the morning. We are always living in our HIGH brain. That's our one true self. The real Lisa. It's the Lisa that wants to love and be light and change the world. As the day progresses and little cares and big challenges start to literally weigh you down that you begin living in your lower brain.... That is the EGO/habit brain.  Thinking about the abuse you suffered as a child, the thing you boss said to you last week, the thing your husband said that hurt your feelings last night.... then we begin to transition to love brain living. I personally believe that's where the term LOW LIFE comes from. It's impulse living. It's not intentional now directional living.
The way to live your highest life which is your best life, is living in your HIGH brain. We need to train ourselves to STOP when we want to act, behave or think out of habit ( low life behavior) these are the behaviors that aren't good for us... eating things that don't point us to our goal, saying things that don't point us to our long term plan for ourselves. This is the behavior that addicts participate in. This is what keeps a person in a career they hate. It's habitual living instead of intentional living. Go ahead when you wake up in the morning write down your intentions. Imagine that you are having a day in the BEST possible life you could ever dream of. Write that down with the intention of getting it as you go about your day... anything that doesn't fit with that. STOP. and don't do it. ( Now if you have a normal job, even if you don't like it, ofcourse you have to go to it... :) Here are some suggestions, let's say you have a job as a secretary but really you want to start an Etsy business. Start taking steps to make that happen, make something everyday that would sell, set up your paypal to accept payments, read articles about marketing online, organize your craft room to prepare... Are you getting the idea? Maybe you want to lose weight.. well go to the gym or walk around the block, eat with intention, if it won't get you the result you want, don't eat it. ( I personally know this one is hard) Perhaps, following a creating a weight loss board on pinterest would help, or maybe reading weightloss success stories. Maybe even just thinking why do I want to eat this when I am not hungry and it won't help me? What is happening here? Where is this coming from?   That kind of thinking will lead you to an intentional LIFE!

Go ahead! Try it tomorrow morning. Get up a few minutes early and start writing. I'm going to do it too.

Well It's 2 days after my 50th and I guess it's sinking in... I AM 50!!!!  I decided today that the word for my 50th year would be gratitude.  I do my best thinking when I write so I decided to get up this morning and write. I should write more because when I read it back I am in awe of what I said and how I said it. It moves me. Yes, my own words move me. When I read back what I write... I am pretty darn shocked as what came out of me. I think everyone should try it. My life's word is BELIEVE. I love that word, I think it's a key to everything in life. My belief in myself and my gifts have gotten me this far... How far is that you ask? Well, from a poor small town girl in rural South Ga to a business professional who has had opportunities that most only ever dream of. So back to Gratitude. I think Gratitude and living as, Tony Robbins calls it, in a state of beauty based on Gratitude and appreciation will take me the distance for the next 40 years. What is the dist
I guess the one thing I get asked more than anything is. "How were you able to leave a nursing career making 70 k a year and consistently make over 150 k a year and enjoy traveling and fine dining on someone else's money?" I am going to tell you exactly how I did it! I knew what I wanted and took little steps everyday!  1. Mindset!   The first step is conquering your MIND!  Deciding what you want and being open to the way it unfolds but knowing that it will unfold!  I knew when I was walking the halls of the hospital that there was more for me.  Being a bedside nurse is wonderful and fulfilling and I have made life long friends because of my time working in hospitals.  However, I knew that it wasn't something that I would do forever.  I always wanted to fly and travel and work as an executive! ALWAYS! From the time I was in high school, I wanted more out of life than an eight to faint job! Personal development is the key to getting what you want.  Read good

Christmas in New York City

For years now I have been going to New York City a few weeks before Christmas to enjoy an early Christmas. It's become a tradition I enjoy very much. I invite friends that have never been or haven't been to NYC during Christmas. Each year, I plan several new things to do with no pressure on myself or my traveling partners. It's a relaxing time even in the hustle and bustle of the Big APPLE. This year was no exception. I got to connect with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time as well as spend time with one of my best friends who lives in another state.  There were a couple of highlights of the trip one was the Louis Vuitton exhibit downtown. I started collecting LV over the past few years and I thought it would be cool to attend the exhibit and learn about the history of Louis Vuitton. It was a free exhibit and did not disappoint! My good friend Allyson who fell in love with LV at this exhibit!  The LV gowns worn by stars were quite amazing.   For those
